Customer Service Administrator

Pay: £28,000 - £30,000 + Bonus

Role Type: Full time, Permanent

Shifts: Mon – Fri 37.5 hrs/week, 8am - 4pm

The Company:

Primex Plastics is a plastic processing business based in Newton Acyliffe, supplying both the UK, EU and wider export territories across a broad variety of industries. We are a smaller subsidiary of the wider Primex Plastics Corporation, who have 8 manufacturing sites across the USA.

 

The Role:

Due to our current and future planned growth as a business, we are looking to expand our Customer Service team to maintain the high level of service that our customers have come to expect. We are therefore looking to immediately recruit a full-time (37.5 hours, working hours Mon-Fri 8am-4pm.) Customer Service Assistant to work in our small Customer Service team. The role will entail: -Day to day administration and correspondence with customers – with a focus on building lasting relationships; -Order input and order acknowledgment processing; -Scope to grow the role to be able to offer sales quotations and work on pricing lists; -Order planning input and organisation of transport for deliveries; -Dealing with customer complaints.

 

The Person:

This is a busy and varied role and will require an individual who works well under pressure, enjoys working as part of a team but is also happy to work on their own. We are looking for a personable and dedicated person who is able to form strong relationships with our customers.

 

The candidate should have good listening and comprehension skills, a patient attitude and due to the nature of a customer service role, the candidate must be detail orientated to ensure instructions from customers can be followed correctly. With Primex being a small tight knit team in the UK, they must be a team player able to work well with others and be willing to help out others towards our shared common goals. Due to our exporting activities language skills would be an advantage, however not essential.

Production / Extrusion Operators – NEW ABS SHEET EXTRUSION PLANT

Pay: £28,500 - £33,000 (Dependent on level of experience) + Bonus and O/T

Role Type: Full time, Permanent

Shifts: Mon – Fri 41.25 hrs/week 0645-1500hrs, 1445-2300hrs, 2245-0700hrs

Primex Plastics Ltd (wholly owned subsidiary of Primex Plastics Corporation USA) extrudes Polyethylene, Polypropylene and ABS Sheeting products supplying into the industrial, Packaging and Leisure business sectors. This profitable company operates 6 production lines on a 3 shift 5-day operation. With the opening of a new ABS Sheet manufacturing facility adjacent to the current plant and with further growth, Primex Plastics Ltd are looking to recruit Production / Extrusion Operators who have a minimum of 1 years’ experience of a Process Operation / Thermoplastic Sheet Extrusion.

 

The successful candidates will work as part of a team reporting to the Shift Manager working a 3 shift Monday – Friday operation.

 

The key objectives of the role are: 

· Extrusion line set up, startup, adjustment of processing conditions and gaining product specification.

· Fault rectification of processing faults.

· Disassembly and assembly of production tooling.

· Operation of Material feed and Gravimetric material systems

· Ensuring that product is being produced to the correct quality standard and output rate.

· Completing all Quality checks – Colour, Reversion, MFI, Vacuum forming samples.

· Maintaining housekeeping standards, ensuring that all areas are clean, tidy and hazard free.

Stacking and packaging of finished product.

Granulation of scrap sheet to reprocess

· Completing all necessary Production and Quality documentation together with detailed Shift handovers.

· Always Adhering to Health & Safety procedures.

Good prospect of progression for the right candidates.

It is expected that the candidates will have a mechanical aptitude, good communication skills, with a good standard of Maths and English. Counterbalance Forklift certificate and slinging and rigging certificate are advantageous but not essential.

Shift working experience advantageous.
