The Karting Challenge returns!

Primex Plastics Ltd entered 2 Teams to take part in the Max Coates Racing Karting Challenge which was held at the Teeside Karting circuit near Middlesborough.

Primex Team 1 was made up of: Team leader Michal Klosek, and Extrusion Operators Piotr Gulak and Krzysztof Panske; Team 2 comprised of Extrusion operators Robbie Foster, Jakub Sitarz and Radek Kuriata.

A total of 25 teams took part in the one and half hour Endurance event with the competing teams being made up of a mix of rookies, motorsport enthusiasts together with experienced Karters and several of Max’s Graves Motorsport JCW Mini racing teammates.

The Primex guys battled hard in the slippy conditions with both Pitor and Robbie perfecting some big drifts round the final corner! Jakub managed to crash and loose a wheel off his Kart! which was then replaced mid race! Michal showed his experience from competing in previous races by setting the fastest lap time out of the Primex contingent. After completing ½ hr stints in the Karts the guys could appreciate that Karting is really rather physical. Primex Team 1 got the better of Team 2 on the day with all team members having a great time. As for the overall results let’s just say that we will need to look at some pre-event practice before the next race!!!
