Primex supports Enduro Mountain Bike Rider Liam

Local lad, Liam Clement (15), is being assisted as he progresses in the sport of Enduro Mountain Bike competitions by Primex Plastics during the 2020 season.

Liam who also competes in motorcycle trial events started his MTB competition career in September 2019 and has since competed in 7 Northern Downhill organised events held throughout the North of England and southern Scotland.

Liam’s off road motorcycling experience has helped him progress in what is a tough physical sport which involves stamina and the ability to ride at speed down steep rough downhill tracks.

Despite being one of the youngest competitors, Liam has seen some podiums already - with 2 wins and a third together with a seventh place out of 53 15-18year olds at his last competition.

Unfortunately Liam’s early season competition plans have had to change with a number of postponements and cancellation of events due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Liam has been using the time to work on his fitness and has taken up road cycling to improve his stamina.

With the recent lifting of travel and exercise restrictions Liam has been able to get back to Danny Hart’s Descend bikepark at Hamsterley Forest together with other forests in the area to commence training and practice in preparation for future events later in the year. Hopefully these will include some PMBA Series events, Tweedlove Tenduro, Scottish POC Enduro series events and the Descendant National Enduro.

Liam expresses his thanks to Alan Pollitt and the whole Primex Plastics Ltd team for their support.
